[News Space=Reporter seungwon lee] Hyundai Engineering & Construction is commercializing a floor structure rated 1st for inter-floor noise, and is introducing the first quiet apartment in Korea with no inter-floor noise.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction announced that it will first apply its self-developed inter-floor noise blocking technology, the 'H Silent Home System II', to 'DH Daechi Edelui', scheduled for completion in the first half of next year, and that it plans to gradually expand the application of the technology to apartment complexes with a floor structure that is rated as grade 1 for inter-floor noise blocking.
Recently, various technologies related to reducing inter-floor noise are being developed in the construction industry, but Hyundai Engineering & Construction's 'H Silent Home System' is the only technology that has been actually applied to apartments and has completed performance verification.
'H Silent Home System Ⅱ' is an upgraded technology of 'H Silent Home System Ⅰ' developed by Hyundai Engineering & Construction 21 years ago. It is a floor structure that maximizes the performance of 'floating floor structure' by utilizing high-performance cushioning materials and high-density specialized mortar. In particular, PET (polyester) and PU (polyurethane), which are excellent for noise reduction and shock absorption, are used as high-performance cushioning materials to effectively block heavy impact noise transmitted as low-frequency vibration when a person walks or runs.
This inter-floor noise reduction technology independently developed by Hyundai Engineering & Construction has already proven its unrivaled performance by becoming the first domestic construction company to receive first-class certification in both light-weight and heavy-weight impact noise tests in 2022.
A Hyundai Engineering & Construction official said, “As the government recently revised the Housing Act and the Housing and Urban Fund Act and has taken strong measures to reduce inter-floor noise, Hyundai Engineering & Construction is responding faster than anyone else to the changed legal standards by not only developing technology but also moving into full-scale field application.” He added, “Hyundai Engineering & Construction plans to continue developing optimal housing solutions so that residents can enjoy an improved quality of life and community life.”
