Korea Kolmar wins the main prize at the 'Red Dot Design Award' for eco-friendly paper packs... "Not only is the quality good, but the design is also first-class"

 

[News Space=Reporter seungwon lee] The eco-friendly paper pack developed by Kolmar Korea won the grand prize in the packaging category of the 'Red Dot Design Award 2025', one of the world's top three design awards. This is an achievement that proves global design competitiveness, following paper tubes and paper sticks.

The Red Dot Design Award is considered one of the world's top three design awards, along with Germany's iF Design Award and the United States' IDEA Award.

 

This award-winning design is the 'One-hand Pump Paper Pack'. It has been recognized for its practicality and eco-friendliness by applying paper pack technology used in the food industry to cosmetics packaging.

 

The intuitive appearance reminiscent of a milk carton was highly rated for its practicality. The pump on the top was designed to withstand the load so that it can be easily used with one hand.

 

In addition, it has been recognized for its sustainability in that both the paper pack and the pump are 100% recyclable and can be simply washed and separated for disposal after use. It also has the special feature of being able to safely store various cosmetic contents.

 

Kolmar Korea plans to review commercializing cosmetics using this design.

 

Kim Hyung-sang, managing director of Kolmar Korea Design Group, said, “Kolmar Korea’s designs have proven their competitiveness by consistently winning major awards at home and abroad since 2018,” and “We will continue to lead the development of the cosmetics industry by providing customers with the value of new design experiences.”

 

Meanwhile, Kolmar Korea has also been recognized for its value by winning awards at various competitions, including the world's top three design awards. In March of last year, it won the gold prize at the US IDEA Awards 2024 and the main prize for Beauty & Care at the German iF Design Awards 2024 for its paper sticks. The world's first successfully commercialized paper tube achieved a 'grand slam' by winning all three of the world's top awards in 2021 alone.
