[NewsSpace=Jack Moon] The factory and warehouse transaction market in South Korea showed a strong recovery at the end of 2024, marked by a slight increase in transaction volume and a sharp rise in total transaction value, driven by large-scale deals.
According to an analysis by RSQUARE’s R.A. (RSQUARE Analytics), based on real transaction data from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, there were 502 factory and warehouse transactions nationwide in December 2024, amounting to 1.86 trillion KRW.
While transaction volume saw a modest 5.5% increase from November’s 476 transactions, the total transaction value surged by 70.1% compared to the previous month’s 1.09 trillion KRW.
In the Seoul metropolitan area, Incheon stood out with a transaction value of 295.5 billion KRW in December, marking a 228.6% increase from the previous month’s 90 billion KRW. Gyeonggi Province recorded 646.5 billion KRW in transactions, an 82.3% month-over-month increase, while Seoul saw a 66.2% rise, reaching 283.7 billion KRW.
In the southeastern regions, Gyeongnam recorded 76 transactions worth 154.2 billion KRW, while Gyeongbuk saw 45 transactions totaling 68.9 billion KRW. Notably, Ulsan experienced an exceptional surge, recording 74.1 billion KRW across 12 transactions, a staggering 1,045.6% increase from the previous month.
