[News Space=Reporter seungwon lee] Global luxury beauty brand Sulwhasoo is accelerating its conquest of the U.S. luxury beauty market by entering Macy's, the largest department store chain in the U.S.
Founded in New York in 1858, Macy's Department Store has approximately 420 stores across the United States. Sulwhasoo began opening stores in Macy's online channel, 'Macys.com', in February, and in Flushing, New York, Santa Anita, and South Coast Plaza in LA in March. Sulwhasoo plans to introduce its representative products, including First Care Essence, Essential Oil Revitalizing Cream, and Jinseol Cream, and plans to gradually expand the number of stores in the future.
Sulwhasoo has steadily increased its presence in the US beauty market since it first entered the US market in 2010. In the US market, Sulwhasoo has recorded an average annual growth rate of approximately 20% over the past three years, and is expanding its customer base through Sephora stores in major cities in the US and digital channels. In particular, Sulwhasoo’s flagship product, Jaumsaeng Cream, showed high growth last year.
Regarding this, a Sulwhasoo brand official said, “Sulwhasoo’s Holistic Beauty philosophy, based on 60 years of ginseng research, is considered suitable for the trend in the American beauty market that pursues wellness and healthy skin,” and “We plan to spread the Holistic Beauty philosophy to American luxury customers who are gradually becoming interested in K-beauty and provide a differentiated customer experience.”
