[News Space=Reporter seungwon lee] SPC Group has reorganized its global business organization and is moving to strengthen its overseas business.
SPC Group will establish and operate the AMEA headquarters (Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa Division) in Paris Baguette's global organization.
The AMEA headquarters will oversee the Southeast Asia region where the company is currently operating, as well as the Middle East, Africa, and Oceania regions where it is preparing to enter. Hana Lee, who was in charge of Southeast Asia, has become the CEO of the AMEA headquarters. Taehwan Moon, executive director, will be the CFO.
SPC Group has carried out this personnel change ahead of the completion of its Johor Bahru, Malaysia, bakery factory, which is scheduled to start full operation early this year. The factory is being built in accordance with Halal certification standards. Accordingly, it will be able to supply products to Islamic countries such as Southeast Asian countries, the Middle East, and Africa. It is interpreted that managers with extensive local market experience have been assigned to advance in order to conquer the global Halal food market worth 2 trillion dollars.
SPC Group also reorganized its organization by implementing personnel changes at Paris Baguette’s America Division in 2024. With Darren Tipton serving as CEO since 2021, it appointed Nick Scaccio as COO, Cathy Chavenet as CMO, Eric Galkin as CSCO, Saeyong Park as CFO, and Michelle Jagroop as CHRO.
SPC Group is also pushing forward with the construction of a local production plant in Burleson, Texas, in the United States, and plans to expand its business from its American headquarters in the United States and Canada to Central and South America, where it plans to enter in the future.
In addition, SPC Group will operate a ‘Global Support Office’ in Korea to strengthen communication between Paris Baguette’s domestic headquarters and overseas corporations and to support a quick decision-making system. Managing Director Ilwon Seo will serve as the office director.
An SPC Group official said, “We carried out this reorganization to localize our global business by expanding the responsibilities and authority of each overseas regional headquarters and to enable our domestic headquarters to support overseas corporations more effectively.”
Paris Baguette currently operates in 14 countries, including the U.S., Canada, France, the U.K., China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam, with approximately 630 stores. The goal is to reach 12,000 stores by 2030.
