Daesang Corporation, 'New York Festival National Brand Award' 2 consecutive years 2 crowns... 'Jongga·Chungjungone' global brand 'stands tall'

[News Space=Reporter seungwon lee] Daesang Corporation announced on the 2nd that its 'Jongga' and 'Chungjungone' took first place in the Kimchi category and the Food Joint Brand category, respectively, at the '2025 16th Republic of Korea National Brand Awards (NYF K-NBA),' earning the honor of being the double crown winners for two consecutive years.

 

The 'Korea National Brand Awards' is an awards ceremony hosted by the 'New York Festivals', one of the world's top three advertising festivals, since 2010, and this year marks the 16th anniversary. The top brand in each category is selected through the National Brand Competitiveness Index (NCI), which is calculated by comprehensively evaluating various factors such as brand awareness, identity, customer satisfaction and loyalty, and global competitiveness.

 

In this evaluation, ‘Jongga’ and ‘Chungjungone’ received high scores across brand image, product quality, customer loyalty, and global competitiveness, and were selected as number one in the National Brand Competitiveness Index (NCI) for the second consecutive year.

 

First, Korea's first packaged kimchi brand, 'Jongga', ranked first with a total score of 76.57. 'Jongga', which was first introduced in 1988, has maintained the principle of using 100% domestic agricultural products, and has established itself as a kimchi brand representing Korea in name and reality by presenting standardized taste and quality standards for kimchi based on thorough quality and hygiene management and acquisition of food safety management certification (HACCP).

 

Currently, it is leading the domestic kimchi export market by advancing into approximately 80 countries around the world, including the Americas, Europe, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and in 2022, it established a large-scale kimchi factory in LA, USA, the first in the domestic food industry, accelerating its conquest of the global market.

 

'Chungjungone', a representative comprehensive food brand in Korea that analyzes the ingredients and characteristics of fresh and clean natural ingredients to complete dishes full of flavor and nutrition, took first place with a total score of 78.36 points. Since its launch in 1996, it has been leading the domestic food industry by expanding its differentiated product lineup reflecting customer consumption trends.

 

In line with consumers' eating trends, the company is leading the convenience food market with various products such as soups, main dishes, fried rice, and dumplings, 'Homings', as well as 'Sunchang', a fermented soy sauce brand that inherits tradition in a modern way, 'Haetsaldam', a soy sauce brand that brings out savory flavor and taste through fermentation and natural aging, 'Matseongsaeng', a seasoning brand, 'Hongcho', a fruit fermented vinegar drink base, and 'Curry Queen', a premium curry, etc., and is receiving consistent love from consumers by presenting healthy and delicious products ranging from basic ingredients essential for cooking to complete dishes such as convenience foods.
