The Yeongdong World Traditional Music Expo Organizing Committee has appointed Chairman Yoon Yeong-dal as the civilian co-chairman of the organizing committee to successfully host the world’s first traditional music expo in Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do in September next year. The appointment ceremony held at the Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Office on the 26th was attended by Governor Kim Yeong-hwan of Chungcheongbuk-do Province and Yeongdong-gun County Mayor Jeong Yeong-cheol.
The 2025 Yeongdong World Traditional Korean Music Expo is the world's first traditional Korean music expo and will be held in Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do from September 12 to October 11 next year under the theme of 'The fragrance of traditional Korean music, coloring the world.' Various programs such as performances, exhibitions, and experiences of traditional Korean music and traditional music from 30 countries around the world will be held, and it is expected that around 1 million visitors will visit during the period.
Chairman Yoon Young-dal will serve as co-chairman of the Yeongdong World Traditional Korean Music Expo Organizing Committee together with North Chungcheong Province Governor Kim Young-hwan. He plans to actively participate in raising the global awareness of the Traditional Korean Music Expo and in planning and operating performance programs and events.
Chairman Yoon, who has earned a deep trust in the Korean traditional music world for his extraordinary love of Korean traditional music, is the chairman of the Korea Mecenat Association and plans to actively work to ensure the success of the Korean Traditional Music Expo by encouraging the participation of many private companies.
Chairman Yoon, who advocated art management that places culture and arts as a core management strategy for companies, has actively supported the development and expansion of traditional Korean music for a long time. He founded the first Korean traditional music orchestra among private companies and holds the largest Korean traditional music performance in the country every year.
